4th Grade Math

Our 4th Grade Classroom!

Enthusiasm, inviting and thought provoking are three ways to describe my classroom. I was inspired by my high school literature teacher to pursue a teaching career. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education in 2010. Similar to my high school literature teacher, I implement a style of teaching that allows all students to feel successful and loved. The students in my classroom play an important role in creating a classroom community. I believe that a student’s success is dependent upon building relationships that create a desire needed for instructional learning to take place. My students explore mathematical concepts by connecting to real world applications and exploring with hands on activities! This engages and hooks my students to become invested in their learning process. I am looking forward to all the relationships and growths we will experience together this school year!

HOW WE WILL COMMUNICATE:

This school year we will have a few different forms of communication! You can reach me by email at lieghton.foster@ccboe.net or you can click the button down below!

You can also reach me by downloading the Class Dojo app. Class Dojo is an app that allows us to message one another along with the ability to post updates and reminders! You may know Class Dojo as a behavioral data tracking app, but we will also use it for communication as well as tracking e-tickets! I will be inviting you to our Class Dojo at the beginning of the school year, so make sure you go ahead and download the app!

Lastly, you can always call the school if you are in need of more information about something! Our school number is 706-556-4000.
